After several discussion w/ Nissan (waste of time) and talking to 3 different dealers who told me essentially "that's just the way they are" I came across Nissan TSB # NTB21-028 about 2 months ago.10-speed fleet transmissions, and they use an integrated air module to control the range shift. The range cylinder in these models is part of the transmission shift cover. Transfer cases are used.
